Troubleshooting: notifications not appearing
Step-by-step fixes when countdown notifications fail to appear on your device.
If you aren’t getting notifications from Moments, try these steps in order.

Check in-app reminder settings
- Open the event > Edit > Notifications: confirm it’s enabled and a reminder time is set.

Verify device notification permissions

iOS: Settings > Notifications > Moments > Allow Notifications = ON.

Android: Settings > Apps > Moments > Notifications = ON. Also check channel-specific settings inside the app’s notification page.

Disable battery optimizations

Android: Settings > Battery > Battery optimization > Find Moments > Don’t optimize.

iOS: Ensure Low Power Mode is off when you expect timely notifications.

Confirm Do Not Disturb / Focus mode
- If DND/Focus is active, notifications may be silenced. Add Moments to allowed apps or disable DND.

Reboot and update
- Restart your device and make sure Moments is updated to the latest version in the App Store / Play Store.

Reinstall as a last resort

🚨Attention: First make sure you are signed in. This will make sure you will not lose your events.

If nothing else works, uninstall and reinstall Moments, then restore from backup by signing in again using the same Google/Apple account.
