How to install Moments and add your first event

Follow these steps to install Moments and create your first countdown event.

Download and install the app
- Android: open the Google Play Store and search for "Moments Countdown" or follow the Play Store link on momentscountdown.app. Tap Install.
- iOS: open the App Store and search for "Moments Countdown" or follow the App Store link on momentscountdown.app. Tap Get.
Open the app and accept basic permissions
- On first launch Moments may ask permission to send notifications and to access photos (if you plan to upload a custom background). Grant the permissions you want now; you can change them later in your device Settings.
Add your first event
- Tap the + (plus) button on the main screen.
- Enter the event title (for example: "Birthday — Ana").
- Set the date and time using the date/time picker.
- Choose whether this is a countdown to a future date or a “time-since” event (lookback) by toggling "Count up / Count down" if present.
- (Optional) Pick a background: choose from Unsplash images or tap "Upload" to use a photo from your device.
- Tap Save.

How to verify

The new event appears in your events list with a live days/hours/minutes countdown. If you see it on the list you’ve completed the setup.

Edge cases & tips

If Save is greyed out, check the date is valid (not an empty field) and the title is present.
If you don’t see the app in the store, ensure your region/store account matches the app availability or download via the links on the website.
Free users can have up to 3 events; upgrade to Pro to add more (see "Purchases & Pro features").
