How to sign in and enable online backup (cross-device sync)
Protect your events with Sign in and online backup so you can sync between devices.
Use online backup to keep your events safe and available on multiple devices.
Why use backup
- Backup saves your events and custom backgrounds to your Moments account so you can restore them after switching phones or reinstalling the app.
Sign in options

On iOS you can use "Sign in with Apple" (the app supports that option; Apple may obfuscate name/email).

On Android the app will offer a sign-in option (Google account sign-in or an app-specific account) if available.
Enable backup

Open Moments and go to Settings (tap the gear icon).

Tap "Sign in" or "Backup & sync".

Choose a sign-in method (Sign in with Apple / Google) and complete the authentication flow.

After sign-in, toggle "Online backup" or "Sync events" to ON.
What gets backed up
- Event titles, dates, repeat settings, and custom backgrounds uploaded from your device are preserved in backup. Device-specific widget placements are not part of the backup and must be re-added on the new device.
How to verify
- After enabling backup, open Settings > Backup & sync and confirm you see a recent backup timestamp.
Troubleshooting & recovery

If you switched phones and your events don’t appear after sign-in, go to Settings > Backup & sync and tap "Restore from backup" or "Download".

If restore fails, try signing out and signing back in, ensure you’re using the same account that created the backup, and check your internet connection.
